The client operates in the used car sale industry, which deals in exotic and premium cars. The company is advantageous to car enthusiasts since it provides a listing platform where they can visit cars on sale and contact sellers or car dealers. Being a startup, the customer first adopted a WordPress-based solution to maintain the cost at a low level, but needed a more solid digital solution, which could handle early business operations and be efficiently scaled as the business expanded. The client originally had a WordPress-based custom website, but several foundational issues were negatively impacting usability and business operations. Among the major problems were broken listing imports, difficulties with the processing of image-heavy car data, and the lack of built-in payment and CRM. Such problems made it hard to operate listings effectively and keep up with end-to-end business processes.
